ARRIVE AT ENTEBBE AIRPORT
Arrival and transfer will begin upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, where a representative will meet you and transfer you to your accommodation in Entebbe. If you arrive early, you have the option to take a tour of Mabamba Swamp to observe the iconic Shoebill stork, or you can visit the Entebbe Botanical Gardens for birdwatching, where you may spot the Orange Weaver, Marabou Stork, and Giant Kingfisher. You will spend the night at Entebbe Forest Lodge.
ENTEBBE - QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
After an early breakfast, you will be driven to Entebbe Airport for your 7 am Aero-link flight to Kihihi Airstrip, arriving at 8:45 am. Your journey continues to Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you'll check in at your lodge before heading out for an afternoon game drive. This is your chance to spot the famous Tree Climbing Lions, known for resting in the Candelabra trees during the dry season to escape the heat.In the afternoon, depending on your schedule, you can enjoy additional activities such as visiting Lake Nyamunuka, Katwe Salt Lake, the Elizabeth Equator memorial, and the Rwenzori Founders’ Art Centre.Meals included are lunch and dinner at the lodge, with overnight accommodations at either Kyambura Gorge Lodge or Elephant Plains Lodge.
GAME DRIVES AND BOAT CRUISE ON KAZINGA CHANNEL
In the morning, you will embark on chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura Gorge, a 100-meter deep, 1 km long underground tropical forest that is part of Queen Elizabeth National Park. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, where you can see hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of birdlife. Meals included are breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You will overnight at Kyambura Gorge Lodge or have the alternative of Elephant Plains Lodge.
BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK
You will drive to Bwindi National Park, whose name means "impenetrable" in the Runyakitara language, referring to the dense bamboo and thick vegetation that make foot access difficult. In the afternoon, you can participate in the Ride 4 a Woman program and enjoy community walks in Bwindi. Meals included are breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with overnight accommodations at Bwindi Lodge or the alternative of Elephant Plains Lodge.
BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK -GORILLA TREKKING
Enjoy breakfast at the lodge before setting out for gorilla tracking. Accompanied by a guide and optional porters for $10 each, you will venture into the dense forest in search of gorillas. Due to the challenging terrain, steep slopes, and high altitude of 5,200 feet, participants should be physically fit. The tracking can last anywhere from 30 minutes to 7 hours, leading to a rewarding encounter with these magnificent primates. In the afternoon, you may opt for a community visit. In the afternoon, you have the option to participate in a community visit to interact with the locals. Overnight accommodations are at Bwindi Lodge.
RETURN TO ENTEBBE AND FLY OUT
After breakfast, you’ll be driven to the airstrip for your domestic flight to Entebbe International Airport. Upon arrival in Entebbe, you will be taken to a boutique hotel where a day room is reserved for you. Relax there until it’s time for your transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
