Leaving the bustle of Kampala or Entebbe behind, your journey takes you northwest towards Murchison Falls National Park. Along the way, a visit to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary offers a glimpse into Uganda's conservation efforts. As the day draws to a close, you settle into the comfort of Nile Safari Lodge ready to embrace the wonders of Murchison. Enroute, you will visit the top of the falls before heading to your lodge.
MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK
With the dawn painting the sky in hues of gold, you set out for a morning game drive through Murchison's sprawling savannahs. Lions roam the plains, while elephants lumber gracefully in the distance. In the afternoon, a boat trip to the base of Murchison Falls promises encounters with crocodiles, hippos, and the thundering spectacle of the falls.
KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK
Your journey continues southward to Kibale Forest, where the lush canopy shelters a world of primates and avian wonders. Afternoon Activities: A guided village walk -through the community to interact with the locals. Optional activities: Bigodi Swamp unveils the sanctuary's rich biodiversity, while optional excursions offer insights into local culture and history. Evening at leisure.
QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for briefing and there after embark on traversing verdant trails in search of these enigmatic creatures, the chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National Park. Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest is normally not too demanding with 3-4 hours of trekking. After the morning searching for these beautiful primates, head back to the lodge for lunch and your journey leads you to Queen Elizabeth National Park, where the wild calls await.
GAME DRIVES & LUXURY BOAT CRUISE ON KAZINGA CHANNEL
Morning brings a game drive through Queen Elizabeth's diverse landscapes, where lions prowl and elephants’ roam. Afternoon activities: a luxury boat safari along the Kazinga Channel offers intimate encounters with hippos, crocodiles, and a vibrant array of birdlife.
BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, transfer to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park for a game drive, where you may spot the famous tree-climbing lions escaping the hot ground and biting ants. Continue to Northern Bwindi National Park, arriving late afternoon. "Bwindi," meaning "impenetrable" in Runyakitara, describes the dense bamboo and thick forest cover that makes access challenging.
BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK - GORILLA TREKKING
Start your day with breakfast at the lodge before setting out on a guided gorilla tracking experience. Optional porters are available for assistance at $10 each as you navigate the dense forest in search of gorillas. Given the challenging terrain and altitude of 5,200 feet, participants should be in good physical condition. Tracking may take anywhere from 30 minutes to 7 hours, leading to an unforgettable encounter with these remarkable primates. An optional visit to Ride4aWoman is also available, where you can explore locally made crafts supporting women overcoming poverty and abuse to provide for their families.
LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK
This morning, drive to Lake Mburo Park, check in, and enjoy a hearty lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a boat trip, followed by an evening game drive. You can also choose from a variety of optional activities such as a guided cycling safari at Mihingo Lodge, running with a guide for a more adventurous experience, sport fishing, horseback riding for closer wildlife encounters, cultural experiences with local eco-tourism groups, or Children's Bush Courses for nature exploration. The park offers diverse landscapes, including acacia woodlands, wetlands, and grassy hillsides, and is home to animals like zebras, hippos, impalas, and warthogs.
JINJA
After a hearty breakfast, you will be transferred to your second last destination Jinja town, enjoy a city tour of different historical buildings and also have a boat cruise on the Source of the Nile. Later, in the evening, you will head to your accommodation, a beautiful Wild Water Lodge in Kangulumira. You will check in and rest to recover from the long drive and adjust to the beautiful weather difference.
TRANSFER TO ENTEBBE
This morning, after a hearty breakfast, you can choose from a variety of activities, including full whitewater rafting, quad-biking, or bungee jumping. After rafting, you will be transferred to Kampala for an overnight stay at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel.
RETURN TO ENTEBBE AND FLY OUT
This morning after your leisurely breakfast, depending on your international departure flight, you may opt for a city tour at Gadafi mosque, Buganda Craft Village, Owino Market, Kasubi Tombs, let us know and we shall plan the day well before your departure flight.
