ARRIVE AT ENTEBBE AIRPORT
You will be picked up from Entebbe Airport. Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will go through a standard clearance process. Once you’ve completed this, you will meet your assigned professional tour driver-guide from Tierra, who will warmly welcome you to Uganda – the Pearl of Africa. After that, you will be taken to your first accommodation, a lovely forest lodge in Entebbe. You can check in and take some time to relax, recover from jet lag, and adjust to the time difference.
ENTEBBE - MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, you'll be driven to Entebbe International Airport for your domestic flight to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda's largest park. Known for Budongo Forest and diverse wildlife, you’ll have the chance to see hippos, crocodiles, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, elephants, and a variety of birds, including the shoebill and white-thighed hornbill. Your Tierra guide will take you to the top of the falls for stunning views of Murchison Falls and Uhuru Falls, offering excellent photo opportunities.
MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK
Embark on a morning game drive, offering plenty of opportunities for stunning photos. Watch herds of elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and various antelope species, and keep an eye out for lions or leopards basking in the sun. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat trip on the Nile to the base of the falls, where you’ll see hippos, a variety of birds, and massive Nile crocodiles. As you approach, the thunderous sound of the falls will build, culminating in the breathtaking view of the river cascading 7 meters through a narrow crevice into a foaming pool 43 meters below. After the cruise, return to your lodge for the night.
MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK - KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK
You’ll meet our guide for your transfer to Kibale National Park, renowned for its stunning scenery and rich wildlife. The drive offers views of rolling hills and tea plantations. Kibale is famous for its primate diversity, including chimpanzees, colobus monkeys, elephants, and various bird species. About 80% of the park is covered in evergreen forest, home to approximately 1,500 chimpanzees across different communities, four of which are habituated to humans. Upon arrival, check in to your accommodation and relax for the rest of the day.
KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK - QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
You'll head to Kanyancu in Kibale National Park by 7:45 am for chimpanzee tracking. Kibale boasts the highest number of primate species globally, including around 5,000 wild chimpanzees. Guided by rangers, you'll observe these playful apes and learn about the local flora and fauna. The tracking lasts 1 to 3 hours, with one hour spent near the chimpanzees. Afterward, you'll drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you'll check in at your lodge for the night.
QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, you’ll embark on a game drive with the chance to spot wildlife such as lions, leopards, elephants, waterbucks, bushbucks, Uganda kobs, and cape buffaloes. In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxing boat trip along the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lakes George and Edward. During the trip, you’ll encounter wildlife like hippos, elephants, and crocodiles, along with various bird species along the shore.
QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK - BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK
You’ll drive for 5-6 hours to Kisoro in southwestern Uganda, near the Rift Valley. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, renowned for its ancient rainforest and misty hills, is home to around 459 mountain gorillas—nearly half of the world’s population, including several habituated groups. Enjoy scenic views of the landscape, banana plantations, and Kigezi terraces along the way.
BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK
Today is a special day to encounter Bwindi's mountain gorillas. Meeting these gentle giants in their natural habitat, including the powerful silverbacks and playful young, is unforgettable. Your exciting trek will take you through wooded slopes and bamboo, guided by expert rangers. Depending on the gorillas' location, the trek may last 1 to 7 hours. Along the way, you'll observe diverse flora and fauna before spending 60 incredible minutes with these majestic creatures.
BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK (SOUTHERN SECTOR)
After breakfast, you will be driven to Kisoro airstrip for your domestic flight to Entebbe International Airport. Upon arrival, your guide will meet you and drive you to Jinja. In Jinja, you will be transferred by boat to your lodge, located on an island in the River Nile.
