Day 1

ARRIVE AT ENTEBBE AIRPORT

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you’ll go through routine clearance before meeting your professional tour driver-guide from Tierra, who will warmly welcome you to Uganda - the Pearl of Africa. You’ll then be transferred to your first accommodation, a charming forest lodge in Entebbe, where you can check in, relax, and recover from any jet lag.

Day 2

ENTEBBE - MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, you'll head to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda's largest park, known for Budongo Forest and diverse wildlife, including hippos, crocodiles, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, elephants, and unique birds like the shoebill and white-thighed hornbill. En route, stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to observe rhinos, reintroduced to Uganda after poaching had wiped them out in the region. Founded in 1997, Rhino Fund Uganda works to protect these endangered animals. At Murchison Falls, visit the top for breathtaking views and photo opportunities.

Day 3

MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

Set out on an exciting morning game drive to photograph iconic wildlife like elephants, giraffes, and buffalo, and keep an eye out for elusive predators like lions and leopards basking in the sun. In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic boat ride along the Nile River towards the stunning falls. Spot hippos, vibrant birds, and crocodiles along the way. As you near the falls, feel the powerful roar as the river plunges 7 meters into a serene pool. After this memorable cruise, return to your lodge to unwind and reflect on the day's adventures.

Day 4

MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK - KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, our guide will take you to Kibale National Park, famous for its diverse primate species, including chimpanzees, Colobus monkeys, and red-tailed monkeys. The scenic drive offers views of hills lined with tea plantations. This evergreen forested park, which also includes swamps and grasslands, is home to about 1,500 chimpanzees across several communities. In the evening, enjoy a cultural experience with a local healer who will share insights on herbs and traditional medicines, as well as coffee roasting and banana brewing.

Day 5

KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK - QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

Head to Kanyancu, the visitor center at Kibale National Park, for an early 7:45 am start to track habituated chimpanzees. Kibale is renowned for its high primate diversity, including around 5,000 wild chimpanzees. Guided by experienced rangers, you'll observe these fascinating apes in their natural habitat, with the tour lasting 1-3 hours and one hour spent near the chimpanzees. After your forest walk, where you’ll learn about the park’s rich flora and fauna, continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park, near the Rwenzori Mountains and Lakes Edward and George, and check in at your lodge for an overnight stay.

Day 6

QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

Embark on a game drive with a chance to see lions, leopards, elephants, waterbucks, bushbucks, Uganda kobs, cape buffaloes, and more. In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxing boat trip on the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lakes George and Edward. During the trip, you'll encounter wildlife like giant hippos, elephants, and crocodiles, along with various bird species along the shores. Keep your eyes open and your camera ready for stunning moments, as this boat safari will surely be a highlight of your tour.

Day 7

QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK - BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK

Today, you will head to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, located in southwestern Uganda on the edge of the Rift Valley. The park is known for its mist-covered hillsides, blanketed by one of Uganda's oldest and most biologically diverse rainforests, which has existed for over 25,000 years and is home to nearly 400 plant species. More famously, this "impenetrable forest" shelters approximately 459 mountain gorillas, about half of the world's population, including several habituated groups that can be tracked. Along the way, you'll enjoy stunning views of the landscape, banana plantations, Kigezi terraces, and much more.

Day 8

BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK

Today is a special day as you meet Bwindi's rare mountain gorillas. Experiencing the strength of the silverbacks and the playfulness of the young gorillas in their natural habitat is unforgettable. Your trek will take you through wooded slopes and bamboo forests, guided by expert rangers. The hike lasts 1 to 7 hours, depending on the gorillas' location, and offers opportunities to observe diverse flora and fauna before spending 60 minutes with these majestic creatures.

Day 9

BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK - LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, embark on an exciting morning game drive to spot wildlife like zebras, impalas, and buffaloes against the park's beautiful landscapes. Return to your lodge for a relaxing lunch with views of the lake. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari on Lake Mburo, where you can see hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of birds. After the boat ride, head back to your lodge for dinner and unwind as the sun sets over the lake, reflecting on a day filled with adventure and stunning nature.

Day 10

RETURN TO ENTEBBE AND FLY OUT

After breakfast, you'll embark on a guided bush walk, offering a unique perspective of the park and a closer look at its wildlife. This walking safari lets you appreciate the tranquility of nature away from traditional safari vehicles. After the walk, you'll head back to Entebbe, with a brief stop at the equator in Kayabwe, Mpigi district, where you can witness the fascinating "water experiment" and stand at the latitude that separates the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. Finally, your tour guide will take you to Entebbe airport for your flight home.
